Hummus #Snackattack Video

Hummus is one of my favorite all time accompaniments. Whats so amazing about it, is that it only has about a hand full of ingredients, and can be made super fast. It goes great as a dip with chips, or some grilled pita bread. Even as a meal, simply grill some vegetables, with meat, lamb, chicken, or beef, and serve with a side of hummus.

I always keep chic peas in my pantry, its one of my staples. When we get a sudden urge for something delicious, I like to call this phenomenon Snack Attack, hummus is a great go to snack and meal.

Also homemade hummus is so delicious, it's so easy and quick to make, once you make it you wont go back to store bought. Then theres all the variations like roasted garlic, roasted red pepper , etc.

Give this recipe a try, you can even use it as a base for experimenting with all the variations.

Hummus

1 16 oz  Can of low sodium Chic peas
Juice of 1 lemon (medium to large)
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon Tahini
1 teaspoon Salt
2-3 tablespoon water
1/4 Extra virgin olive oil (extra for garish)

Add Chic peas, garlic, lemon, tahini, salt in a food processor, pulse to combine all ingredients well. Scrape sides of bowl with rubber spatula, continue to mix. Drizzle olive oil while food processor is on and mix until smooth. Taste for seasoning adjust with salt if you prefer.
